PES 2011 Gameplay Trailer Review

For a moment as I was watching the 6 minute footage of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, I thought I was watching the World Cup all over again, minus the vuvuzelas. The graphics are detailed and look close to realistic, until I noticed the stiffer than a half lubricated tin man animations. It’s not that big of a deal, because the game introduces over a thousand new motions one can perform mid-game, so there had to be a design cutback somewhere.

The game looks beautiful and Konami seems to be taking things up a notch. It will make good competition against EA’s FIFA 2011, but we’ll have to wait and see when we review the game how it holds up. Stiff animation aside, I have high hopes for Pro Evo 2011. Will it win the hearts of the fans that jump shipped to FIFA over though? Time will tell, as some may be diehard FIFA fans.
