Arsenal 1-4 Chelsea
Chelsea didn't need long to mentally recover from their Champions League elimination, beating Arsenal 1-4 at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Brazilian defender Alex headed Chelsea to a 0-1 lead in the 28th minute and striker Nicolas Anelka doubled the advantage with a powerful strike 11 minutes later. An own goal from Kolo Toure even gave the Blues a 0-3 advantage shortly after the break. Nicklas Bendtner got one back with a header in the 70th minute but Florent Malouda had the final say in the 86th, reacting in time after an Anelka shot bounced off the post. The away win was more than deserved as Chelsea were the better and more motivated side throughout the game.
