Bridge on brink of City switch
Chelsea's England left-back Wayne Bridge is on the brink of a £12million move to Manchester City.
Chelsea have confirmed that Bridge has been given permission to talk to City about personal terms and negotiations between the two clubs are expected to be wrapped up in the next 48 hours.
A spokesman for Chelsea said: "Manchester City have come in with an interest in Wayne and the club have given him permission to speak to them."
The statement continued: "That's where we are. It's still a moving picture. Both sides will have something to announce if there is something to announce."
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari added that he was happy for Bridge to go if the deal was right for the club.
"If they have a good deal, it is no problem for me," said Scolari. "But it is best you ask Peter Kenyon as he knows everything that is happening.
"I have a meeting with Peter after training and I will ask him then about what is happening and whether we have a deal or not.
"If any club wants to buy a player from Chelsea, they have to offer big money because if they play for Chelsea they are very good players.
"Wayne is not in my squad for the FA Cup anyway because he has a little injury.
"If we sell one player we sell him for big money, if not, it is finished. All of us have contracts here and we stay here.
